Mission Intermission: There And Back Again

(This was written by Eli a few days ago, but we wanted to wait for him to depart before sending it out.)

Hello Everyone!

Well it has been about 1 month since I have been home. It has been so nice to be home and around my family again. I have received a reassignment and will be leaving for Iowa City, Iowa Mission in two days! I will finish my last 6 months there, but could possibly be sent back to Sierra Leone if circumstances agree! In this email I'll highlight a few things that happened this past month at home.
Right after I got home I was in a 2 week quarantine in my house! I was able to watch some movies and spend some quality time with the family! My favorite movie that I watched was the new Aladdin movie by Disney! Other than that it was pretty boring.

Right after the quarantine I got to meet my new sister-in-law, KC! It was so great because I had never met her before. She is so awesome and fits right into the family. It was so good to have them here for a few days!

I was able to get a job working for APSenvironmental. I really enjoyed working with the company, they treated me very well and I had a great time there.
I also connected with a lot of my friends again as well! I went on lots of walks/hikes, went to lots of fast food places and just spent some great time with really great people!

Six days ago I got a call from my Stake President, President Johnson. It was about 8 o'clock at night when He called to tell me of my reassignment! At first I was a little surprised because we had not anticipated it to happen so quickly. Nonetheless I am very excited to get out there and finish my mission! I've had to buy some new shoes and some other pieces of clothing, such as some pants and now have to bring 2 suits to wear!

I really am very excited to get out there and finish what I started. It will be a bit tough to get back into the routine of missionary work but I am glad I already know how everything goes on. I am a little bit nervous to be serving in America, but I am ready to work on some weaknesses and make them strengths! The Lord knows me and what I am going through, I am very grateful for HIm and for His hand in my life! See you guys on Monday!

Soon we'll have 2 Elder Morgans!

He'll be wearing a suit this time around.

Not sure if he's happy about having to wear a mask or take a picture

He made it to Iowa!
