Hey All!!
I had a great week. We had interviews with President Sturm, went and saw some fireworks and did some karate!
Every Tuesday we have a meeting with the other Social Media Supervisors. We review all the Facebook pages in the mission and try to make them better and more popular, so that we can raise more money to run advertisements which brings more people to our Facebook pages. In about two weeks we will be having a big seminar, called Super PAC, with all the missionaries responsible for the individual Facebook pages. We are all preparing different instructions to give. Along with another missionary, I am preparing an instruction on how to message people and get results from those interactions. It is keeping us busy and we are very excited about it!
On Wednesday we had interviews with President Sturm! While one of us was being interviewed, the other was with Sister Sturm. I had a great conversation with Her and then had a wonderful interview with President. They both were very complimentary and kind with their comments! I love them! They also brought tons of snacks, so that was a plus!
We have a really awesome member named Dustin that really likes us. He has some sort of a mental disability and is really funny. He tells us a lot of stories. Some of these stories are about his super hot girlfriend that he wants to marry, or some really impossible thing that he did. This week it was that he is a karate instructor. He then asked if we wanted to see some of his moves. We agreed and he asked me to slowly try and punch him in the face. I did as he asked and all of the sudden, he punches me super hard in the gut! I was kinda confused but then I started laughing because he just punched me. He then told me to "sweep" his leg slowly. He said he wouldn't punch me this time. I slowly went to kick his leg and he full on kneed me in the thigh and punched me in the arm! He then said " I lied, i punched you. Never trust your enemy." It was really funny and we will have to get it on video next time! Hopefully he doesn't beat me up too bad on camera!
About a week ago we met a guy named Cody, had a great lesson and really felt good about it. After that lesson, we were not able to get in contact with Him. He did not answer our calls or texts. I was really worried about it and found a video made by the church that I felt really good about sending to him. He watched the video and said that it was what he needed, and that it really helped. We then set up a lesson with him for tonight....IN PERSON!!!! Our mission is finally in Phase 1. This means that we can now go into peoples homes, we must be invited though and cannot eat with them yet. Little by little things are beginning to open up!
I am loving it here and am so grateful to be serving Him!
